The world’s population is on track to reach 9.7 billion by 2050, requiring a corresponding 70 percent increase in calories available for consumption. By 2030, the water supply will fall 40 percent short of meeting global water needs, and about one-quarter of arable land is degraded and needs significant restoration before it can again sustain crops at scale.
During the pandemic, leadership has been put into a test, from the smallest of organizations to global leaders as they have to manoeuvre through the crisis and leading their teams. In this times, trust matters. I had an opportunity to discuss this issues with Prof Hennessy, Former president of Stanford and Chairman of Alphabet (Google’s parent company) together with amazing entrepreneurs.
